Privacy
Finn Garden is a personal website. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics, runs no advertising and embeds no third-party trackers. What follows is the complete list of what it does keep, and why.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by a hosting provider. Like any web host, it records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to operate and secure the platform; they are retained briefly by the host and I don't use them to identify visitors. The language you see is chosen from your browser's language preference on each request — nothing about it is stored.
Newsletter
When you subscribe, your address is used only to send you a confirmation link. Nothing is stored until you click it. Once confirmed, we keep: your email address, the language and the form you subscribed from, the date and time you confirmed, a hashed form of your IP address and your browser's user agent (as proof of consent), and the version of the consent text you agreed to.
Emails are sent through a specialist email delivery provider acting on my behalf; it only transports the messages. Delivery events (bounces, complaints) are recorded so that we stop writing to addresses that don't want or can't receive mail.
Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately; your address is then kept only as an "unsubscribed" record so it is never added back by mistake. Ask for it to be deleted entirely and it will be.
Claim your page
When you claim a page for a brand, we keep the site address you gave, your contact email, the language you used, a hashed form of your IP address (to limit abuse) and the review status. You receive a confirmation that the claim was received. The site you submit may be visited and analysed, including by automated tools, to prepare the page; publication stays under my control. Claims that are declined are deleted; accepted ones are kept as the record behind the page.
Articles, projects and brand pages
These pages are static. They link to third-party sites (the products and brands described), which open in a new tab and have their own privacy policies; clicks are not tracked. Product screenshots and logos shown on this site are of my own products, or of brands presented editorially.
Contact
Write to hello@finngarden.com.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what is stored about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted — newsletter record, claim, or correspondence. One email to hello@finngarden.com is enough; there is no form to fill. The newsletter relies on your consent; claims, contact emails and server logs rely on my legitimate interest in running the site and answering you.
