An agentic OS is the layer that lets AI agents work for you across many runs, not one chat: shared context and memory, tools with limited permissions, a schedule, isolation from untrusted input, and a log you can audit. In 2026 the term names three different things: Microsoft's plan for Windows, vendor platforms that coordinate business agents, and setups people build around a coding agent.

GoPerfect is an AI recruiting platform: you describe a role, it searches what it says are 800M+ profiles, scores each candidate from 1 to 5 with written reasons, and sends outreach by email, LinkedIn or SMS. Its plans are quoted on request, require a one-year commitment and are sized for two recruiters or more, so a founder filling one role should compare it with tools that publish their prices.

Employee portal software is the login where staff find their pay stubs, tax forms, time off, documents and work requests. For a small team it is rarely one product: payroll services such as Gusto already include the pay and time-off part, a free employee app can cover documents and announcements, and a custom build is worth paying for only on the workflow left over.

A local vector database stores embeddings in files on your own machine and searches them inside your program, with no database server to run. On the same 945 paragraphs, sqlite-vec, LanceDB, Chroma and Qdrant's local mode returned identical top-three matches. So pick by access: which language opens the file, whether two processes share it, and how far it must grow.

A Mac mini is a good OpenClaw host when you need macOS itself, mainly the iMessage channel, or when you want a local model on hardware you own. With a cloud model, the base M6 with 16GB, $899 at Apple's US store on September 24, 2026, covers the runtime. Without either need, a $12 a month server runs the same gateway.

OpenClaw connects to MCP servers as a client: each server exposes tools, and OpenClaw hands those tools to your agents. You add one from Settings, from the chat composer, or from the command line. Connecting a server does not bypass your tool policy, and saving a definition proves nothing about reachability. Only a probe does.

Cursor stopped new sign-ups for its student discount on June 25, 2026, so the free Pro year many students are still looking for can no longer be claimed. Four routes remain: the free Hobby plan, credits handed out at campus events, a credit request form for graduate researchers, and Copilot Student, which is free for verified students on GitHub Education.

AI agents integration is the work of giving a model tools it can call to read from and act in other apps: your Stripe account, a customer's Gmail, a CRM. You wire it in one of three ways: a tool you write around the app's API, the app's own MCP server, or a platform that stores OAuth tokens for your users. Whose account the agent acts in comes first, because it decides whether you need an OAuth app of your own.

OpenClaw Mission Control is a name several unofficial dashboards share for managing OpenClaw agents, tasks and costs from a browser; OpenClaw ships no product by that name. The one Google ranks first was archived on August 6, 2026. For one gateway, start with OpenClaw's own dashboard and its optional task board, and add a separate control plane only for agents that run outside that gateway.

Agentic means having agency: able to act toward a goal on your own behalf, or on someone else's. Applied to software, a system is agentic to the degree that a model, not code you wrote, chooses the next step: it takes a goal, picks which tool to call, and loops until it decides the job is done. It is a spectrum rather than a label, and the word is decades older than AI.
